Town Center Pediatrics opened on January 1, 1998 by Dr. Angela Hunt, when she left Southboro Medical Group (now part of Reliant Medical Group) after 7-½ years to start a practice where she could give individualized care and spend the time she felt the patients deserved. She initially practiced solo then, as the practice grew, hired more staff. Over the years, several other pediatricians and mid-level practitioners (NPs and PAs) came and went to pursue other opportunities.
In 2014 due to her ability to communicate in Spanish, Dr. Hunt was asked and agreed to split her time between TCP and Northboro Pediatrics (the practice of Dr. Ricardo Lewitus and Jose Correa) as Dr. Lewitus prepared to retire, with the plan to eventually take over the care of his patients. Unfortunately, after Dr. Lewitus retired at the end of 2016, Dr. Correa became ill and at the end of 2018 he retired as well.
It became obvious that more space and more providers were needed to take care of the additional full practice, so in January of 2019 Town Center Pediatrics moved from Southborough to Northborough. Though we are now a group of 4 providers, we remain an independent practice (one of very few left in the area) and pride ourselves at still being able to devote the time and attention to each patient that they require to address their physical, developmental, and emotional needs.
